I hold the pistol in my hand

The way this feels so wrong
As I approach you tonight

So busy watching your back

And I loved it as you died
But once the light had left your eyes
I felt the empty space inside
So to fill it up, I cried

I killed you last night

With my fingers dipped in blood
I wrote "forever" on the wall

I awoke in the morning
And my first thought was this
"The fight is finally over
Surely nothing will be missed"

But as the time drags by
The emptiness only grows
'Til the tears can not keep up
With a pain I only know

The days now feel so empty
For you see, my dearest enemy
Without you to counter me
My life has lost all meaning

I killed you last night
But now I'm starting to think
I should have kept you alive
And just gone on suffering
